Cockapoo Dander and Coat Color

Cockapoos are typically outgoing and loving dogs. But when we were looking for a dog what we were searching for was a dog that had those qualities and would produce less dander (the dead skin cells that are shed ) and therefore not affect the Mr. allergies as much.

This is what Buddy looked like when we first adopted him from the shelter. Buddy is a cross breed between a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel (Cockapoo). I've been informed his coat color is a white and apricot parti.

For us, the cockapoo ended up being a good choice in comparison to other dogs the Mr. had spent time around.

We thought we'd stop at one dog but then shortly after getting Buddy we found he needed a friend, while we were away at work, so we searched shelters for another dog and adopted Monroe.  Monroe's coat color is  Dilute Variants of Blonde.

These 2 cockapoos played together for years until my husband spotted a local add that stated a family wanted to rehome their cockapoo just prior to the Christmas holiday and that is how we ended up with Motley. Motley's coat color is the gorgeous Tuxedo.

This year we adopted Lucky our 4th Cockapoo. He is often mistaken for Monroe as their coat colors are both  Dilute Variants of Blonde.

Yes our Cockapoo's do shed and yes they do produce dander but we try to keep this down by bathing,  grooming regularly and frequent vacuuming.
