Lucky's One Year Anniversary
As many of you recall, this is the one year Anniversary of us adopting our dog Lucky. Here's what he looks like today before being groomed. One year ago today, Lucky began acclimating to our pack. This is one of our very first photos of him. He was a little shy and timid at that time.
We began the introduction by showing him around the indoors and outdoors. Here he is checking out the telephone pole with Buddy.
Lucky soon learned where his food bowls were and then he was off to look through the chest which houses a collection of plush toys.
While bathing him we noticed a sore on his back above his tail. It was at this time we decided it was best to get him an E-collar to prevent him from aggravating the area more. He was our first dog to wear an E- collar.
Lucky does well with rules and structure. He is talented and does a few tricks. He can sit, shake, and catch food easily in his mouth. His favorite treats are America's VetDogs.
He is a curious dog and seems to do well around other animals. We live in a neighborhood full of dogs and cats. Many of our neighbors own more than one dog so play dates and socialization are perhaps easier. Here Lucky is visiting our neighbor's cat for the first time.
Lucky is our loudest barker and alerts us when anyone is near.
He is quite pleasant to be around. He does well when family and friends come over and he enjoys listening to music.
He also likes walking to the community park and spending time with our other dogs.
